old, royal, naval, college, Greenwich, London

Chapter 4 is all about British history starting from the stone Age.
I will divide the material from this chapter into parts to make sure that I memorised all important details.
Chapter 4 first focuses on people who arrived into Britain and affected its language and religions.
Next the focus is shifted on the development of monarchy, church and Parliament.
Also on major battles and significant periods like civil war & industrial revolution, the Empire.
There are plenty of information about First & Second World War, later post war governments of United Kingdom & devolution of Northern Ireland, Scotland & Wales.

I should understand the relationship between the monarchy and parliament, Protestants and Catholics, Britain and the colonies of the Empire.
Also I should pay attention to how the right to vote developed and I should know about each of people described .
I will need to know about Acts of Parliament and other major events.

I will list content of chapter
1. The history or Early Britain
2. The Middle Ages
3. The Tudors and Stuart monarchs
4. The Establishment of Parliament
5. The unification of United Kingdom
6. The Enlightenment & Industrial Revolution
7. The Victorian age and British Empire
8. The First World War
9. The Great Depression

  1. The Second World War
  2. United Kingdom since 1945 & the welfare state
  3. Great British inventions & sporting figures
  4. Government since Second World War

I know pretty a lot about British history but still I will need to learn more as I was cherry picking and focusing about my favourite parts of UK history.
My opinion is that it is better to follow the way of book than my own knowledge for the test sake.
So tomorrow I will start from ,,, the Stone Age.
