The first visit I paid to my new flat left me with rather mixed feelings.
It was so very small ( size of room – 2.6m x 2.6m), and the furniture was so very ugly, especially gigantic mirror in tacky, thick golden frame.
But there was a potential in this place.
The landlord was willing to rent the place as soon as possible and I needed flat as soon as possible therefore we made an agreement.
He removed the horrid mirror, too big microwave oven, too big chair and two other things.
Now I have space for myself and my own stuff.

I do not keep too many things, but all I have I do like a lot.
Being a minimalist is currently very much in fashion but I live that way from 30 years.
I have foldable table and foldable bed.
Sadly they cannot be unfolded in same time because they are in each other way.
Bathroom is long and very narrow (0.7m x 2.6m) so to keep it “spacious” I have there only shower curtain, toilet paper and electric dehumidifier.
Toiletries are hidden in closet and fished out only when needed.
Actually most of my stuff is hidden so cleaning is easy.
Laundry stays under shower when shower is not used of course.
To have more storage & stash of dried and canned foods, I bough vintage wicker basket because it is light and I can donate it to charity shop when I do not need it anymore.
There are of course some small problems in using small space.

I could not cook anything too long or use too much garlic for example as afterwards smells stayed for a very long time.
Windows and door must be open for some time if I want to remove any unwanted “aromas”.
Sadly, my landlord did not install extractor fan.
To solve this particular issue I bought small pressure cooker and now it is all right.
It is real fun to make more functional what was offered to me originally.
