London, Marylebone, hig street, shoppingLondon, Marylebone, High street
I have a habit of walking through parts of London I "approved" as places for me to be.
London had changed considerably since 2007 when I first arrived.
And I cannot say that I like these changes very much.
But there are areas of town where I go and go with pleasure.
It is like visiting a good old friend.
I must confess that even if personally I live a very modest life, I do appreciate chic places where one can clearly see opulence of money still existing.
One of my most favourite areas of London is Marylebone which I know pretty well as I used to work there.
I highly recommend Marylebone to all people loving nice food, posh shops, tiny parks and lovely books shops.
My special spots of interest there are: Monocle shop & coffee shop, Daunt Books shop, La Fromagerie, Japanese Art Gallery and three small charity shops.
Shops are cute and full of lights and Marylebone High Street is very cute even during rainy evening.
So after really annoying day in office I like to go for a walk exactly there to feel warmed up by looking at well dressed people, delicious food & my favourite - books.
In late Springs & Summers if weather if fine, I have my special small Marylebone routine when I am in Central London to shop.
My route starts from Embankment Tube station from which I go to Japan Centre and China Town and after long walk and plenty of window shopping, I end up on the bench in tiny
Marylebone sort of park, which used to be a small parish graveyard.
Sitting on the bench, I have my coffee to drink and Japanese fashion magazine to look through.
It is such a pleasant moment.
I do like Marylebone a lot.
